This is a wild riverside campsite with basic, off-grid facilities. Our ethos is “respect this place - leave no trace” and we ask you to follow our guidelines to support the natural environment, sustainability, and our rewilding efforts. This is so the woodland continues to re-establish and thrive so you get to truly immerse yourself in nature.

The Lakeside hut provides basic toilet and shower facilities with a washing-up station (2 toilets, 1 shower). There are two compost toilets in the woodland.
There are no electric hookup facilities. There is a small fridge available for use in the farmhouse - please ask about this when checking in.
WIFI is available at the farmhouse for light use - e.g. keeping in touch with people or planning your onward journey. Mobile signal is poor in the area so take this as a opportunity to unplug from your devices and soak in the stunning surroundings instead.
Firepits are located around the site, with grills and log seats. Firewood is available from us at cost. Please DO NOT forage for wood within the woodlands - we are rewilding and improving biodiversity so log piles that you see are there for nature not humans.
Wild campers are expected to have minimal kit and must be able to carry their belongings into the woodland - camping trolleys or wheelbarrows are not allowed in the woods. A wheelbarrow is available for those using the Glade Field and safari tents.
We have a natural spring on site and you are welcome to fill your water bottles/containers with delicious mountain water.

We are in a remote location along a narrow lanes with passing places and tight corners.
Where possible please lift-share to minimise traffic, and respect other road users.

Disposable BBQ's are not allowed anywhere on site.
Plastic patio-style chairs and tables, camping trolleys or wheelbarrows are not allowed in the wild camping areas.
No sound systems.
No plastic party decor or balloons.

Fires are only allowed in the provided firepits located around the site.
Wood is available to purchase from us at cost.
We ask you not to bring your own wood in from elsewhere due to risk of disease spreading to our woodlands. We’ve worked hard to limit the destruction of diseases like Ash Dieback and ask for your support with this.
You can bring your own off-ground BBQ or firepit and charcoal.
We do not allow the use of disposable BBQ's anywhere on site.

Yes! Dogs are welcome to camp with you everywhere except safari tents. Dogs must be kept on leads or tethered at all times. There are specific laws regarding control of dogs in the national park and we have free-roaming animals on site.
Please pick up after your dog and take the waste home with you.

This is a wild riverside campsite with basic facilities and uneven ground. We’ve had guests who use off-road mobility scooters stay here - so please contact us with specific questions so we can discuss how we may be able to support you.

Check in from 10am
Check out by 12 noon.During quiet times we can be flexible on checkout time, so please ask us if later checkout is possible.
On arrival you'll be given a map and shown general areas. You can then take yourself off and find “your” nature spot. We just ask that you pop back and let us know where you’ve chosen to camp.

This is a wild campsite with basic facilities - you must be self sufficient and have the kit with you to manage sudden changes in weather and the dark skies!

Respect this place - leave no trace. You must take all your rubbish and recycling home with you.
Food and paper based waste can be burned in the firepits but please ensure this is done prior to your departure and the firepit is left tidy for the next person.For larger groups we may charge a discretionary Leave No Trace deposit which will be returned to you once we have checked your pitch prior to departure .

Please contact us to discuss group bookings or small low impact events. We would be happy to discuss how we can help you while maintaining the peace of our beautiful location. We have in the past welcomed re-enactment groups, and walking groups.
We welcome Duke of Edinburgh or similar groups such as Scouts and Guides and offer discounted pricing for these organisations:

We are in a remote location and there are no shops or pubs close by. Bring what you need with you - and we ask you to consider ethical food choices where possible. We occasionally have fresh eggs available for sale.
Local villages with some facilities:
Myddfai is 15 minutes by car along narrow lanes and offers a community centre with cafe and gift shop.
Llangadog is 15 minutes by car and offers a village shop, post office, butcher and two great pubs. Llangadog is also on the Heart of Wales railway line and has a local bus route.
The closest towns with small supermarkets and shops, pharmacy, GP surgery etc. are Llandovery and Llandeilo - both approximately 30 minutes by car.

Whilst we are in a stunning location, we are on a mountain in Wales and the weather can change quickly here. Please make sure you have appropriate equipment and clothing for the season, and be prepared for sudden changes. For online weather forecast location, use "Llanddeusant Youth Hostel" for the best mountain forecast.
